I can not speak for a 71 Lemans as I have a 68 GTO. But I would think they are not that different. I installed the two piece halves and two piece rear seat pan and it was stright forward. I have seen the one piece pans, but from knowing the issues I ran into with the halves, I would imagine that a one piece pan would be a royal pain in that ass. With all the test fitting, removal etc. Also I would think that it would be tough just to physically get it in and out of the car.
I know I would not try it myself. The two piece halves and rear seat pan worked out great for me. Just my opinion.
