Just curious Bill, What kind of problem did you have with the cap?
The ones that I've seen looked good and I couldn't tell it from original until I looked closely at the edge and kind of tapped it with my finger to find that it was hard plastic instead of a pad.
Later, I mistook and authentic pad in a '70 el Camino for a plastic cap until the owner pointed out that it was the original.
