I can rule out the rockers by process of elimination. I ran them on another motor and they did not make the noise I am hearing. Additionally, they are Crower stainless and I don’t think they are worn.
Joe, when you say they the –8 lobe will break lifter bores even with a brace, can you shed some light on the probability? Did you see this 1x, 10x, 50x?
