if you got all the bearings and shims with the unit it should not be too difficult to do. i did the same thing, the only difficult part was setting the preload on the pinion gear. all the shims went in the correct original location and gave me acceptable clearances and patterns. try it you'll like it. this was the first one i ever did. the actual hardest part was putting the entire rear back in the car. i took it out to clean and paint it and it was easier to do the center section with it out of the car.
