I'm sure Craig is going to jump in here any minute,BUT,the turbo kits were NOT dogs when installed properly. In fact most cars would run in the mid 13s,an improvement of 2.5 to 3 full seconds of E.T. Somewhere in my vast warehouse I have a copy of the rebutal to the car & driver test detailing what was shortcut on the installation.The turbo kits required attention to detail and no deviation from the kit instructions.90% of the problems occured in the fuel delivery systems. People did not understand the then new and complex requirements of a boost compensated regulator and the necessity to have the regulator ported to the carb as close as possible to the fuel bowl itself. People just hooked up the regulator hose to any port that was convienent on the pressure bonnet or int. man. AND THE FUEL CURVE SUFFERED.
