I don't know if you are joking or not, but it is possible to "glue" on. I work in the big truck industry and believe it or not, The T-2000 and 387 cab structures that Peterbilt and Kenworth make are 80% bonded together. As far as preparations, start with a clean piece of metal to ensure proper adhesion and if it is available to the public, use an Ashland Adhesives brand adhesive. They make several air cure adhesives that will yeild excellent results should you choose to go this route. I hear that bonded body panels are the way to go. I know a person that had a bonded together prostreet ford ranger that one the overall autorama show circuit.
