The repro molding is really just door edge guard material. It is much thinner and usually requires additional glue beyond what is already on the piping. It wrinkles a little on the sharp curves and is much brighter(like chrome) than originals. Finally, the originals are actually molded to the contour of the seat back, the repro is just flexible straight piping. Despite all this, look at the alternative as evidenced by OPH's search for the originals.
