Here is an excellent website with some really good info on the Super T-10. Look at the application matrix and note that the ratio can be identified by how many grooves or rings are cut across the clutch splines of the input shaft. 2 rings indicate that it is the closest ratio version with a 2.43 1st gear and the 6-ring model is the widest ratio version with a 3.42 1st gear. Also note at the bottom of the matrix the Richmond Gear units are listed with their torque capacities. Notice the nearly 100 Foot Pound difference in torque capacity between the close and wide ratio units. I don’t know if the Richmond units have the nickel gears.
