Sorry-- Tim C's musings, and well thought out ones at that, were not up when I last posted. If the diameter of the pickup has no bearing on volume, then why bother having a larger pickup??They must have done it for a reason .Why does my 425 Buick in my Hallett ski boat now make 65 PSI oil pressure instead of 45PSI @ 4500 rpm.?? Might be that 3/4" pickup I grafted on in place of the orig. Buick 1/2" piece. Why is it easier to suck up a milk shake with a big straw than a small one?? Can we put a lock on this subject??
