Well, sounds like your mind's made up then. What the heck, give it a try. I wish you luck, hate to see people put good effort into something only to get bad results. Maybe I'm misinformed, but I'd sure think a tranny rated for 305 ft/lbs of torque would not live a very long life behind a Pontiac that can easily make 100 lbs. more than that...
