Having done this serveral times, I say do it. All you need is move the factory frame mounts for the chevy engine to where they should be with the clamshell style Firebird engine mounts. I believe it is the rearward holes used in the frame. The only other consideration is the trans bellhousing bolt pattern. This is one of the easiest switch overs. You will need to run a piece of fuel line from the passenger side over to the fuel pump. Since your wiring is on the passenger side for the starter, alt., it is just moving it to the divers side along the top of the manifold in the 400's factory clips. You will actuly have more lenght than you need. The springs on the camero depends on which model it is. If it is a V8 a/c car, it has the same spring rate as a base 350 Firebird. I have done 5 of these switches and it was worth it everytime.
