A pree lube will do little if nothing for the lobes. This is why you should keep the RPM's up to 2500-3000 RPM's. The lobes get oil from splash and a good primming will only get the bearing surface. I use Moly Lube every time, It is thick and sticks to whatever it touches. I change my filter and oil after breakin (50 60 miles) then I will change it again at 100. I hope I never have to go through a cam lobe problem, Good luck I hope you are able to get the people who are responsible to cover your loss.
