I have an instrument control cluster that recently quit working. My speedometer, rpm, fuel guage, etc. do not work. I took one from my wife's 96 and replaced it. However, it will not even run with the replaced cluster. I can not spend $550.00 on a new one as the local Pontiac dealer wanted.
There must be a computer chip in the cluster which shuts off the engine when it is put in another car.
