Yes I did mismeasure the the '69 timing cover thickness, must have measured the lower portion...DOLP. Thanks for keeping me on my toes
Did go back & remeasure several more, & my mismeasurement was limited to the '69+ timing cover housing thickness. The '69+ timing cover with original "tall" style waterpump will measure between 7"-7 3/32" from block mating surface to hub flange. Have found variances in this depth due to cheap repop pumps & different rebuilders of pumps.
