Scott, read my first post again, especially the "What happended?" part. Then you need to know what a pickup extension for a Canton pan looks like. The screen has a larger mesh than the stock screen. Its the only thing that Dick, Tom, the dyno operator, or myself can come up with. No other reason for failure like that.
I woudn't go running around buying a big dollar timing cover replacement from anyone. I wouldn't use a used on again, though. $90 for a new GM cover doesn't seem to be that much money all of a sudden...................
