I am running a comp cams magnum 280 in my 403. The problem with 90% of the cams out there is they are mast produced for Chevy's and the like. Olds motors need more duration on the exhaust side due to the restrictive exhaust ports in the head. If you really want to put a "WALMART" cam in your motor..that is your business. The same cam profiles that work for a chevy work like hell in the OLDS. If I were going to go cheap...I would order an Engle or a Lugnati. If I wanted to do it right, I would order from Ultradyne 662-393-8511. The owner is an ex-comp cam designer. Mastermind of their cams...so I have heard.

His cams MAKE power and not excuses. Olds folks run the ultradyne cams b/c they are "SPECIFICALLY" ground for the OLDS. Not just using a chevy profile and grinding the lopes to fit in the olds.......
