Darrel- When I installed my Doug Headers on a 67 GTO, The Drivers Side was hitting the Cross-member. I called Dougs and told them what the problem was. I marked the area where the tube was hitting the cross-member and sent the header back to Dougs. They cut and re-welded the header, re-coated it and sent it back to me. fit perfect the second time, I still have the warrenty since they fixed the problem, and the coating was redone.
I would give dougs a call and send them the pictures you have. See if they are willing to fix the problem. It worked for me, but took a couple of weeks.
