The '64-65, 66, 67, & 68 timing cover is aprox 2 11/16" thick & with waterpump mounted, there is a distance of aprox 6 1/2" from block mating surface to w/p pulley mating flange.
The '69 & later timing cover is aprox 2" thick & with water pump mounted, distance is aprox 7" from block mating surface to w/p pulley mating flange.

I was wondering about the thickness of the '69-up timing cover so I measured two of them. Including the seperator plate, the distance from the block mating surface to the water pump mating surface is 2-5/8". The '64-68 is 2-11/16" thick. Are there 69-up covers that are 2" thick?
