I have used the 276HR on a 455 using 1.65 crane roller rockers to get more lift...and it idles very well in a 462...and makes tons of HP.
I have used the 276HR in a 400 using the Comp Cams 1.52 ratio arms and it also idles very well. And makes good torque and HP.
I have used the 264HR with 1.65 rockers and it will also work fine in either 400/455.
I have no experience with the 288HR...but felt it would indeed make more power...but streetable?? with power brakes?? I didn't want to have to remove it, so I wimped out and went with the 276HR
I highly recommend Comp Cams in either case.
