I get it. I only read your post under general tech. I misunderstood your problem. I installed a 1-1/4 bar from a 78 or 79 trans-am and had trouble with the tierod. Sorry, I assumed that's what you meant. Your problem is with the front bushing. you have it mounted too far back. If you are trying to use the stock bolt holes, you need to grind the slots as far in towards the bushing as possible, and use socket head bolts. Note in the pic that I had to grind the washer flat on the back edge.
