IF YOU HAVE THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION, PLEASE HELP WITH MY 15X7 RALLY II POST 5/21

While installing rear sway bar,(70 GTO Conv.) I took note to coding on left axle tube ( WF 294). My research tells me that the WF stamp signifies a 3.23 standard axle identification. Another book source tells me it is non Safe-t-Track.

What is the difference?

What does the 294 relate to? Should it correlate like the VIN # / engine stamp/ tranny stamp?

I am curious if the rear-end is worn. Front acceleration allows for only right wheel spin. Reverse acceleration only allows for left wheel spin (burn out). I guess this is not a posi rear-end, (allowing both wheels to spin in forward acceleration- burn out).

Those with the knowledge please enlighten me!

Thanks,
Tilster
