i switched from 28x11.5 ET streets to 29.9x9 slicks and picked up .2 on the big end while the 60 ft. times stayed the same to within a few thousandths. i hope to be ditching the leaf spring suspension soon in search of more traction.
i couldn't be happier with the taller tire from a performance standpoint though...shifting at 6000 it goes through the traps at ~6200~ rpm weighing in at ~3800~ with a 4.11 gear. i'm not a math expert but i think the 29.5" tire turned the 4.11 into more like a 3.70 gear...
