Keith, you'll be depressed to find out how few parts are available for the 74 GTO from ANY supplier, including PY. I can tell you where I've had luck on specific parts if you want to email me. Many of my parts have been located going down the X-body route on Ebay.

Chris, '74 gto' is right on the money. I'm not sure how it worked on T/A's, but on the 74 GTO, power is available to the flapper solenoid as soon as the engine reaches operating temp. The vacuum switch is also in this circuit, but the switch is held open while vacuum is present and closes at loss of vacuum, i.e. full throttle.
