I don't know how much lighter an LS-1 is than a sbc, but you might consider Hotchkiss springs for the front.
With the weight of the LS-1 and the Poncho sheetmetal, I bet you're close to a chevelle/sbc combo.
I'd also like to see more pix of your project. I really dig the LS-1 motor and the technology that's going into it's development.
