I just had the same situation! I just kept calling around to junkyards in Colorado to see if they had a 67 GTO or Lemans convertible frame.
I was able to locate a Lemans frame. (same number) I know that if I didn't find that one there was a guy in Arizona that had one.
Just FYI--a 66 frame has different rear coil spring mounting areas than a 67 frame.
Also, many people will tell you that a 67 Chevelle/Cutlass/Skylark convertible frame is the same, but trust me it's not.
If you want that info on the frame in AZ let me know and I'll see if I can find it again. I did a ton of searching online nationally for junkyards.
I still have my front clip for my original frame at the house and in great shape. I'm guessing that the middle boxed sections between the front and rear clips were cancerous?
Best of Luck,
Dan
