I ran methanol for many years of competition, both unblown and 6-71 blown. The iron engine with -16 heads (stock chambers & ports) liked approximately the same timing as on gasoline, about 36 degrees unblown and about 34 degrees blown (only about 12psi). The unblown version had all of the fuel going into port nozzles, none at the hat.
