Look Dude, I want to have fun racing...I don't want to have to spray 300 to 400 horsepower of nitrous to turn low 9's ONCE!
My motor makes PLENTY of horsepower to dip into the 9's IF I REMOVE THE EXHAUST...get it? If you don't just e-mail Scott Rex and ask him what is restricting my car. Fact is this...the car WENT 10.12 last year through the exhaust and it went 10.11 this year...I am just not ready to spray a car that already made over 730 horse with another 250 to get me there THROUGH THE MUFFLERS AND THROUGH TAILPIPES TOO
FACT #2...nitrous will blow up any motor and melt any piston Zeek...(I never said what you were insinuating in another post on this board)...I did say that I will break less parts with a Chevy than a Pontiac...hey Jimmy, throw a 500 horse fogger on your motor (when it's finally together again) and let's see how long your crank lasts...now do the same to a comparably assembled BBC and guess what...I'll bet you your bottom dollar that the BBC will take it...more than one time too.
FACT >>> BBC's have M U C H STRONGER CRANKS and a lighter reciprocating mass as well and can handle WAY more RPM than your motor ever could...PERIOD
I am not slamming Pontiacs now and I really can't wait to see Scott hit the 7's with that 90 of his and I would love to see the Dude get that Funny Car fixed. I will still be coming to these events, whether I race or not, whether I have a Pontiac or not. When I start seeing used IA blocks and Superchiefs on the market...I'll probably be back, but for right now I am changing.
Back to another subject...You know what Jim, you say that my car can't run 9's...why don't you come down to Atco this Friday and find out for yourself exactly how slow it is while I give her the final run before the motor and trans is removed and sold...you can sit next to the buyer and talk him out of it...
