I have no experience with this cam yet, but I am planning on installing it in my tripower 389 w/stock 1965 #77 heads in a month. From what I can gather after some research, this cam is like a higher lift version of the pontiac original 068. It responds well to high compression and will have some small lope in a 389/400. I do think a 4spd and/or some gears of at least 3.23 is needed to ensure good low end torque. I don't think most would consider this a 'little cam'. In a 455 is probably is a bit on the small side and would generate tremendous low end torque. in a 400, I think it would be a great cam provided you have some gears or stall.
