Slowbird, I sell Aeroquip hose where I work. I can send you an Aeroquip catalog with pictures and instructions on how to properly cut, assemble and install steel braided hoses. I prefer using the SS braided hose with teflon inner tube due to higher pressure, higher temperature and more chemical resistance capabilities. This is the same hose used for nitrous or brakes. It holds up much better than the rubber lined hose for trans lines or if you use alchohol for fuel. For regular fuel or oil either is fine.
