I ran a narrowed 9" in my "64 at 10.20s and bent both tubes. I now have a "Fab 9". If you decide to go with a 9" be sure to put a back brace on it. Incidentaly the fabricated housing cost me just under $1000 bare. You might check with some of the chassis builders. most of them sell rears.
