When I used to go to the street races in Southern California me and a buddy thought we would leave our normal race spot and head to Lakewood. Most of the cars who race in Lakewood gather in a shopping center. Back then I had a 1992 454SS pickup that would run 13.79 at 102 in the 1/4. Well after a few races we decided to go home. My buddy tells me to put on a show so I decided to do a power brake in the parking lot. Well after roasting the tires for about a 2 minutes and hearing all the whistles and screams I let the truck roll out of the smoke into the bright lights of 3 cop cars.

Thank god a couple of bikes at that moment go down the main street at about 50 mph on their rear tires and the cops took off after them.

Sometimes lucky is better

than good.
