The first thing I would check is the thermostat, I have seen brand new ones that are defective. My 65 GTO use to puke after running it about five minutes in AZ and it had a brand new thermostat in it. It took me a while to figure out how to make my car run cool, I have a 4 core radiator in it and it still ran hot. I finaly put a 160 degree thermostat in it and a Flex-a-lite plastic fan, the fan is good for 8000 rpms and dosen't weigh much, the fan pulls air through the radiator like crazy and now my car runs at 190 degrees at idle in AZ in the summer time and I don't even have a shroud on it.
