yes, I have to change the timing cover as well because a balancer would interfere with the pointer on the cover. The pointer can also be removed. It is bolted on to the cover not cast in as on the harmonic balancer cover.Do you think there are any gains to be had by using a balancer instead of that solid hub. I kinda thought a harmonic balancer was there to reduce crankshaft harmonics. How do they justify not using one?
