BTW, I assume you have the coil mounted in the OEM location, away from additional sources of heat, such as headers, etc.

SOmetimes, while chasing down problems, the problem magically gets fixed for a while because perhaps cables are moved, etc. Check to make sure you do not have an intermittent coil wire, etc. that gets "fixed" when you replace the coil.
