I was considering the purchase of a 68 Endura-delete GTO before I bought my 69 - I had the same idea of chromed scoops, but had a hard time finding an example. I DID find one or 2 pics of a convertible in Washington state that had chromed scoops. They weren't great pics, but it gave you the idea and I thought they looked pretty cool. I think they were at ultimateGTO.com - I'll see if I can find them again...
