In the 70 GTO sales brochure, there is a pic of a GTO with hood pins. The brochure says they were available.
Also, Gordon's post of the pic from the assembly manual seems to mean that they could have been installed at the factory.
On the order sheet, I couldn't find where they could be ordered from the factory, so maybe they were avail only as a dealer-installed option. But then, why is it covered in the assy manual?
So, a 70 GTO with hood pins would def be correct.
Evil Stu and everyone else, I don't see in the pic or in the brochure where the GTO uses the lanyards to hold the pins. It looks to me from the pic from the assy manual that Gordon posted that the GTO did not use the cables, and I don't see the cables on the GTO in the sales brochure.
I got the kit from Year One, and am going to be putting the pins on this spring (without the cables) . . . . I think they look great . . . .
