It seems like all the fast guys on here all have 455+ inch engines. All I have to work with is a 400, so I an going build it similar to a built 455 and see what I can get out of it. Here is my build up...anyone care to guess what it will do in a full weight '75 T/A with the A/C removed (3800-3900lb. raceweight):


* Stock 400 shortblock with stock pistons
* Fully ported #48 heads with 2.11/1.77 valves (255cfm @ .500" lift with excellent low and mid lift numbers)...should be about 10:1 compression
* Summit 2802 cam...224/234, .465/.488, 114lsa
* Holley Street Dominator intake
* 800cfm Q-Jet
* Hughes 4000 Stall
* 3.42 gears
* Hooker 1 5/8" headers
* 3" exhaust with X-pipe
