I've been Rock & Roll's shop 3 or 4 times. I had always thought Bruce was knowledgeable and put out a outstanding product. As happens with many good technicians, they have a lot of technical skill, but short on experience on how to run a business. Unfortunately, it sounds like Bruce is using the newest payment to finish another project.
At this point I would not use him. If I did I wouldn't give him cash, but use a credit card only. I would also have a written contract, listing all work to be performed, all parts that are to be used and a definite time when the project was to be completed. Should RRE not perform to the agreed terms, you would have legal standing with your credit card company.
PS. Never use a debit/bank/ATM card, only use a credit card. Using a debit card is like writing a check...there is no recourse.
