I have the 288 in a 9.52 cr 400 the engine made 462hp & 472tq at less than 5900rpm on KRE's dyno.We had about 10in. of vacuum @ 850 rpm and 14in. @ 1200rpm. Streetable ? I guess that is a matter of opinion. I think that this engine is streetable with the right trans/car combination. We(the Herdsclan and maybe 76 T/A) will be running the car ,65 GTO this Saturday at Milan Dragway for the first Royal Pontiac race of the season.
