I have used and gone through many. The best I have found is Porter Cable. They don't vibrate your hand off and have a lot of power for about $50. I personally like the orbital sanders better than the square type. The orbital pads velcro on, while the square sanders clip on and the paper always breaks while sanding corners. If you do need that type, Home Depot and Sears offers a glue on bottom that allows you to use velcro paper. I think the kit is about ten bucks, but highly worth it.
