Oh trust me, they can stick. Had a rough experience that many can attest to at Maple Grove. Dumped about 6 qts at 120 mph plus. And on Video.
Car had about 20 passes prior and 50 since then.
After
The Experience Changed the filter and rev'd engine quite high and a few times and it finally returned to normal. Went to Norwalk and raced the whole weekend. That's why I swear by Synthetic oils.
But when the relief was stuck. The needle came all the way around to the zero stop peg. Don't know how far is was going.
I now strickly use the Fram Racing filter with a higher burst pressure casing.
