I worked with a guy several years ago who was too cheap to upgrade. He ran a mid 70's Monza with a Buick V-6 and manual trans. He broke so many cone type posi units I lost count. Even had a few axles come out after blowing up the side gears and loosing the "C" clips off the axle(s). There are several versions of this axle around, around 1988 they upgraded to the 7.625" version, pretty sure they have larger axles? We still see enough of them blown up by whimpy SBC's to avoid them.......Cliff
