One of my favorite activities in the late 80's-mid 90's was buying & cutting up rusty in the 1/4's '71-72 T-41 LeMans. Call it forward thinking OR had to buy 'em & part 'em to keep the locals from building GTO clone "smash & bash" drivers out of 'em [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif[/img]...both explanations fit.

Remember hauling a really nice '71 LeMans Sport T-41 fender to Pate in '87 or 88. Had probably $175 on it. Ron Johnson looked it over real close. He knew it was tough one, so did I, but it was going to be a tough ship back to MD. Ron passed, & I ended up hauling that fender home. Today the emblem holes have been welded up & that same fender is going on my Judge [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

Never regret keeping the nice stuff. If you stick to your guns & continually build the same era cars, you will need the parts.
