Slightly lean is not a big issue; however, you can burn a motor up if you are really running lean. Check the plugs and see what they look like and go to the Pontiac Dudes website and see how they compare to the posted pics. 84 square seems to be pretty healthy (rich). I run 76 to 78 front and 86 to 88 back (but, I also run a power valve).
