Thanks for the input guys. The other issue is the oversized needle bearing. In the past to run needles you had to go to 1.875 making the journal smaller by grinding a stock core. By going larger 1.970 you get the advantage of ease of install with high lifts, and bigger lobes which can translate into better ramp transitions. You can't do this or unique profiles with the standard cores that are available.
