the 6.2 uses a chevy bolt pattern. early and hd units had a large intake. later 6.2's were a better engine, although all are expensive to build.
the 5.7 used the bop pattern. if you're lucky you'll find a th 400 in the 5.7 units[ 1 ton or 4x4]  
the 5.7 was junk.
