72Red,
I suggest you call up Dave Bishop over at SD Performance. I was going to go with the 288HR Comp cam, but after talking to Dave he convinced me to go with a 'new' grind Dave came up with that was custom ground by Comp Cams that is very similar to the 288HR but doesn't use the Extreme Energy lobes(uses the Magnum lobes). Specs are 236/244 @ .050 w/ .580/600 gross lift. 112 LSA.
On a 469 w/ 87cc E-heads, the cam dynoed at 553 HP/597 Torque @ 5400 RPMs; 544 TOrque at 3,000 RPMS; Now, the corrected figures are 560.6 HP/606 Torque @ 5400 RPMs. Motor idles at 800 RPM's, has very good vacume and has a quite a grunt to it! Out of all the cams that Dave's experimented with, he thinks this is the
best one yet. Needless to say he's really excited about it and so am I.

Give him a call! -Chris

P.S. Hydraulic Lifters are on backorder currently and no one truly knows when they will arrive, so be aware.
