I'll bet if you dynoed it peak HP would be 5500-5800.There have been some posts on air flow on different manifolds. The Performer is going to drop the % of the head flow signifigantly more than the RPM on a high flowing E head.Probably down to 90% of the head flow as the cfm increases at higher lifts. Kind of like the Circle Track classes that have to run a 390 cfm carb or a restrictor plate to limit the airflow in.Torker II or an RPM have alot less loss %.

A stock or mildly ported iron head yes the difference is not as great. Jim Hand I believe has been running a RPM since he started runing ported iron heads.
