Rick, I meant lower numerically.
I would use what you have to save some bucks, if you have 3.08's I would definately swap them for the 3.73's pronto. These gears with more ignition advance should get you into the deep 13's and be real friendly on the interstate. You're still gonna' need a better tire to get in the 12's though (my opinion). Try those borrowed 26" "stickies" with the 3.08's and see what happens.
