No I dont follow the NMCA, but that does not mean I dont know about parts breaking. The point is I can make the same power I am now for a lot less money. I can make a lot more power with the same investment. I can have a relatively mild BBC that will run in the high 9s and live much longer than my 455
then SPRAY it into the 8s with a minimal amount of nitrous.

I am selling my car TO BUY A LIGHTER RACE CAR, it has nothing to do with the deal I made with Scott, and it is my car you know. I am guessing that the motor and transmission will be the first to go. The body WILL sell in my area just because it is tubbed

Last year, yes, I did say I would get it in the 8s
with my IA Block Dude, the current motor was just for street fun originally. The IA block was sold to Scott Rex last year, as I was not going to dump 20 grand to build it without a decent set of heads to put on it. I have not broken a single thing in this motor
yet.

The weakness in the block and crank is very true and I have learned that these IA blocks require A LOT of machine work to even use. Thankfully it was after I sold mine. I will not have to wait 4-6 months for a decent crank and block either if I use Chevy, they are on the shelf in mass quantities.

I would like to know where you got that info from Dude. Actually the fastest time I went and the best day I had last season I was alone. Scott has done a lot for me and showed me many things...he is not sitting next to me in the car when I race though. I think that you jumped to some conclusions Dude, I am not looking for a car to run 8s every weekend, all weekend.
